SMOKEY (German Shepherd- large size-)

Smokey is 5 years old 80 pound neutered male German Shepherd Dog who was rescued from local high kill shelter in Los Angeles. . He came to the shelter as an Owner Surrender. He knows many commands, walks well on leash, loves a car ride and is very smart. He was perfectly trained as a guard dog so he needs a handler who has a deep knowledge of this breed and a lot of experience. He gets nervous with strangers, but is a great dog once he warms up. He walks well next to you even off leash. We believe he was well-trained in past. Due to his sensitive personality, he needs the owner who is very patient until he warms up. We recommend an experienced German Shepherd owner. He is currently in foster care with the foster's 3 dogs and cat. If you are interested in meeting Smokey, please fill out our "Adoption Application"
