The Rainbow Bridge Poem
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Mimi Female German Shepherd
Crossed the Bridge Jan 3, 2017
Mimi is currently only 29lbs.. yes 29... she is German Shepherd and needs to be about 60-70lbs... so you know how bone and skin she is. I still do not know what is wrong with her because we will
have to wait for her test result. She has a possible foster and a back up foster but I may need to keep her with me few days or a little longer to make sure she is up for moving to the foster
care.
She is a very nice girl.
He walks as a text book dog on leash and is very sweet to the handler. However, we prefer the experienced dog owner because of his breed. He can be the perfect dog with an experienced handler.
Kai is 4-5 years old neutered male White German Shepherd. 73 pounds.
Crossed the Bridge June 14, 2018
He was adopted in 2015
He came to the shelter as stray. The shelter supervisor called me and said "we scheduled to euthanize him this afternoon because this dog has Perianal Fistula"...perianal fistula, also known as anal furunculosis is a medical condition that most commonly affects German Shepherd Dogs. (It's like a hemorrhoid)
It's a treatable/manageable condition and can be completely healed as well. DOGzHAUS decided to rescue him from high kill shelter and has been provided
the medical treatment he needed. He is playful and very affectionate. He was very depressed at the shelter but is spiritually doing a lot better now.
